Now that you’ve met our doctors, let us introduce you to the office team! These ladies ensure our patients and doctors receive the support they need for successful visits! They are dedicated to assisting our doctors in treating our patients with the best dental care possible. We are a family and want our patients to feel like it too! Here are the ladies on our office team that help make it happen.

Hygienists

Brenda

Brenda has been in the dental industry for over 32 years. She started her career in South West Virginia in 2009 and joined our team in 2010. She has been here ever since. During her career, she took the time to share her skills and tips with future hygienists at Wytheville Community College. Her goal in caring for her patients is to build a relationship on trust and understanding. She strives to make sure her patients feel comfortable in the chair. When she isn’t working with our patients, she spends time with her husband and best friend, Marty. They like to listen to music and attend concerts at small intimate venues. When they are not doing that, they are adventuring with their horses and fur pup, Axel.

Vanessa

Vanessa started her journey in dentistry in 2009 as a Dental Assistant. She decided to pursue a career as a hygienist shortly after and graduated in 2014 with her degree. Once she graduated from Wytheville Community College she joined our team right away! She worked with Dr. Pettit and sharpened her skills as a dental assistant and hygienist. Since then, her ability to focus on precise details with meticulous care has been a wonderful asset to the team. When she isn’t working she can be found with her family, fur babies, and outdoors. Her husband Cody and their three children Alexa, Teagan, and Landen love spending time together. You can find them exploring our beautiful outdoors!

Assistants

Grace

Grace recently graduated from Wytheville Community College in 2018 with her certificate in Dental Assisting. Her original plan following high school was to study Agricultural Sciences at Virginia Tech. We are so thankful she had different plans and joined our team instead. She brings so much to the table, especially a strong willingness to learn more about her craft. Not only does she hold a dental assisting certificate but also a Nursing Assistant, and Basic Life Support Certificate too! When she isn’t sharpening her craft on Dr. Pettit’s team, she can be found with her boyfriend Trevor and their two pets Garfield and Buck!

Cyndi

Cyndi has been in the dental assisting field for over 13 years. She joined our practice in 2013, and before that, spent time in King, North Carolina. One thing we love most about Cyndi is her contagious smile and laugh. She immediately brightens up the office and brings joy to our patients. When Cyndi isn’t working, she is spending time with her husband Adam and their beautiful daughter Magnolia Belle. The family of three loves spending time with family and friends and working at their church.

Office Coordinator

Kristin

Last but not least, our faithful office coordinator Kristin! Kristin joins us with 10 years of office experience. She worked as a chairside assistant and an administrative assistant before. Her ability to see from both perspectives gives her the insight to make sure our patients are receiving the best care possible. She is such a blessing to our office and patients. When she isn’t working, you can find her family of four enjoying the outdoors. Her husband Brock, and two children Mason and Marley love exploring our beautiful city!
