Originally from the small coastal community of Middlesex, VA on the Chesapeake Bay, Dr. Jones graduated from Middlesex High school and went on to complete his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Virginia. Dr. Jones received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he focused his studies on providing comprehensive dental care in isolated rural communities throughout the state through a community outreach scholars program. Upon graduation, Dr. Jones completed an additional year of specialty training through Ballad Health’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program at the Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Clinic. When away from the practice, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with family, hunting, offshore fishing, hiking, cooking, and training his chocolate lab puppy Sadie. Dr. Jones is excited to be a part of Wytheville Dental Group and continue providing high quality dental care to the residents of southwest Virginia.
Chris M. Davenport, DDS
A native of Glade Spring, VA, Dr. Chris Davenport is happy to have returned to his roots in Southwest Virginia. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and then finished his undergraduate studies at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise. He completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 and has been practicing in Bristol since then.
Dr. Davenport is a general dentist who enjoys all aspects of the profession with an emphasis on implants and endodontics. He is a member of the ADA and has served as the component president of the Southwest Virginia Dental Association. He enjoys volunteering his services at the Missons of Mercy and Remote Area Medical projects in Wise and Smyth County. Dr. Davenport now resides in Bluff City with his two sons, Ryan and Luke. When away from the office he enjoys spending time wakeboarding on South Holston Lake and offshore fishing.
Sara Holston, DDS
Dr Sara Holston joined the practice in July of 2022. She believes that great dentistry starts with trust, comfort, and understanding. She is committed to providing the high-quality care that makes us stand out from the rest. Her goal is to create a positive dental experience with exceptional dental care. Dr. Holston grew up in Pulaski and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech before attending dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University. After dental school, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with Ballad Health spending time both at South Holston Dental Designs and Appalachian Highlands Community Dental Center. She especially enjoys surgical and aesthetic cases and loves helping patients feel confident about their smiles.
When she is not creating amazing smiles you can find her riding horses, working on the farm, and competing in team penning and sorting. She also enjoys reading and relaxing whenever she gets the chance. She was recently engaged and is excited for this next chapter in her life.
