Hygienists
Brenda brings over 32 years of experience to the dental industry, initiating her career in South West Virginia in 2009 before becoming an integral part of our team in 2010. Since then, she has remained dedicated to providing exceptional care. Brenda’s commitment extends beyond patient care; she has actively shared her expertise and insights with aspiring hygienists at Wytheville Community College. Her primary goal is to establish relationships built on trust and understanding with her patients, ensuring they feel at ease in the dental chair. Outside of work, Brenda enjoys quality time with her husband and best friend, Marty. Their shared interests include listening to music and attending concerts at intimate venues. Additionally, they embark on adventures with their horses and beloved furry companion, Axel.
Vanessa embarked on her dentistry journey in 2009, initially serving as a Dental Assistant. Driven by a passion for the field, she transitioned to become a hygienist, earning her degree in 2014. Vanessa swiftly joined our team upon graduating from Wytheville Community College. Working alongside Dr. Pettit, she honed her skills as both a dental assistant and hygienist. Vanessa’s exceptional attention to detail and meticulous care have made her a valuable asset to the team. Outside of work, she cherishes moments with her family, including her husband Cody and their three children, Alexa, Teagan, and Landen. The family enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors together.
Assistants
Grace
Grace accomplished her Dental Assisting certificate from Wytheville Community College in 2018. Originally inclined toward Agricultural Sciences at Virginia Tech post-high school, she fortunately redirected her path to join our team. Grace’s valuable contributions include a keen eagerness to expand her knowledge in her field. In addition to her dental assisting certificate, she holds certifications as a Nursing Assistant and in Basic Life Support. When not refining her skills with Dr. Pettit’s team, Grace enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Trevor and their two pets, Garfield and Buck.
Cyndi
With over 13 years of experience in dental assisting, Cyndi became a valuable member of our practice in 2013 after working in King, North Carolina. Known for her contagious smile and laughter, Cyndi brings an uplifting atmosphere to the office, bringing joy to our patients. Outside of work, she dedicates her time to her husband Adam and their lovely daughter Magnolia Belle. As a family of three, they cherish moments spent with their extended family and friends and actively participate in their church activities.
Office Coordinator
Our dedicated office coordinator, Kristin, brings a wealth of experience to our team with 10 years in office roles, having worked as both a chairside assistant and an administrative assistant in the past. This dual perspective enables her to ensure that our patients receive optimal care. Kristin is a true blessing to our office and patients alike. During her leisure time, she, along with her family of four—husband Brock and two children, Mason and Marley—delight in exploring the outdoors of our beautiful city.
